IHB4 Series - Description

    The New IHB4 Guitar pickup series are based on our unique, original design that reinforces the magnetic field of the HB pickup.
    All IHB4 pickup models are direct retrofit for guitars equipped with HB pickup and about 500 KOhms Volume/Tone potentiometers network.
    IHB4 creates an amazing guitar tone within the size, geometry and look of the traditional HB guitar pickup. 
    Basically, all IHB4 models are slightly under wound to provide a space, needed to accept an additional Middle Magnet (mm) located between the two HB pickup coils. Having that Middle magnet placed, makes the signal creating string area bigger which in terms delivers stronger, heavier, and more 'dimensional' guitar tone.
    All IHB4mm models contain an Alnico 5/Alnico 2 Main magnet for regular magnetizing of the pickup pole pieces and an additional middle magnet for expanding the signal creating string area. In this way the IHB4mm pickup will produce about 1.25 times stronger output, compared to the output of a traditional HB pickup with same number of turns and having just the main magnet loaded. 
    In addition the tone quality of the IHB4mm pickup is significantly improved.
All IHB4msm models contain an Alnico 5 Main magnet for regular magnetizing of the pickup pole pieces, an additional middle magnet for expanding the signal creating string area AND a Bottom side magnet (bsm) for decreasing of the magnetic strength of one of the coils pole pieces. In this way the IHB4msm pickup will produce about 0.75 times output, compared to the output of a traditional HB pickup with same number of turns and having just the main magnet loaded.  
    In this way the IHB4msm pickup will sound more like a heavy single coil pickup tonally close related to the famous P90 style pickups and with NO Noise and no need to change the Volume/Tone control potentiometers resistance value. Again the tone quality of the IHB4msm pickup is significantly improved.
    In general, every IHB4 pickup, is optionally capable to deliver at least 4 different soundings (without noise) depending on the permanent magnets combinations. All 4 different soundings do not require changes of the Volume/Tone potentiometers network.
