BPSSC Questions:

1. BPSSC installation and Pickguard shielding:

The shielding will reduce the high frequency noise and if it is very simple - it will not change the tone. Here is a good example about pickguard shielding:

2. BPSSC installation Check Tips 1:

Preparation: Connect all wires according to the User's manual instructions. Screw in the Backplate on its place. Put all Volume and Tone controls of the guitar on their MAX position.

Before you place the pickguard on its place please use a multimeter at resistance mode, 20 KOhms range and perform the following measurements on the Adjusting PCB wires:

a. Yellow to Red - about 0.35 - 0.4 KOhms.

b. Yellow to Black - 0 KOhms (short)

c. Black - Volume pot housing - 0 KOhms (short)

adjust the blue trimpots to their MIN position then measure:

d1. Blue to Black - about 0 KOhms (short).

e1. White to Black - about 0 KOhms (short).

f1. Brown to Black - about 0 KOhms (short).

adjust the blue trimpots to their MAX and  then measure:

d2. Blue to Black - about 0.35 KOhms.

e2. White to Black - about 0.35 KOhms.

f2. Brown to Black - about 0.35 KOhms.

adjust the blue trimpots to 12 o'clock (middle position or 50%) then measure:

d3. Blue to Black - about 2.5 KOhms.

e3. White to Black - about 2.5 KOhms.

f3. Brown to Black - about 2.5 KOhms.

When You get all these readings correct you can now proceed the final step of installing the pickguard on place and later final adjust the blue trimpots for best noise cancellation.

New:

3. BPSSC installation using RWRP Middle pickup:

Requirements:

=The guitar has 3 pretty much same resistance Bridge, Middle and Neck pickups (let say within 1K difference)

=The guitar has a Standard Strat 5 position pickups selector switch.

=The guitar has One Volume, One Tone potentiometer.

Notes:

Negative:

With this wiring, at position 3 you will have the Middle pickup WITHOUT the BPSSC noise canceling.

Positive:

With this wiring, at position 2 and 4 you will have NOTHING connected to the operating pickups and have a standard (original) noise canceling.

With this wiring, at position 1 and 5 you will have a standard BPSSC noise canceling.

Use the following diagram to wire the guitar:
BPSSC with Standard Strat 5 position pickups selector switch and RWRP Middle pickup

When You get all these connections correctly done you can now proceed the final step of installing the pickguard on place
and later final adjust the blue trimpots for best noise cancellation at position 1 (Bridge pickup only) and 5 (Neck pickup only).
